From a design perspective, the playtable of Wings of Horus fits in with the dark theme very well. On each side of the playtable, there are black stone pillars which reach a peak at the top, the base of the pillars is thick, and they become thinner towards the pointed tip. However, it is the background where the dark theme is really displayed to full effect. The background is completely black, with a grey fog lining the bottom of the screen. Interestingly, Wings of Horus uses different letters designed to look like hieroglyphics or markings on stone as the lower-value symbols. Wings of Horus Bonus Features 

In Wings of Horus, there are multiple bonus features available for players to try. The first bonus of note is the game's wild symbol. These symbols will substitute for all other base symbol types in order to form or extend matching symbol combinations. However, it is important to note that these symbols can not land in base gameplay and can only land through orb symbol mechanics. 

The orb symbols previously mentioned are unique symbols to Wings of Horus, and there are 2 orb symbols available. The first is the orb of the moon symbol that, when it lands on the grid, selects all instances of a random symbol also on the grid. Then, it will replace all the positions of the selected symbols and itself with a higher-paying symbol or a wild symbol. The other orb symbol available is the orb of the sun. This symbol will select all instances of 2 symbol types before replacing them with higher-value symbols or wild symbols. 

Finally, there is an available free spin round in Wings of Horus, which is triggered by landing 3 scatter symbols on the playtable at the same time. In this round, there are 2 progression bars on either side of the playtable. To the right, there is a golden bar which, when filled, progresses the purple bar by 1 level. Before the last spin in the free spins round, the purple progression bar is triggered and will place as many orbs as there are levels filled in the reels in the last spin. The golden bar progresses with every combination formed, and if players land 4 scatters to trigger this Wings of Horus bonus round, the purple bar starts on 2 levels.
